Making invisible tracking visible.
BrowserInsight is a free suite of browser-based privacy and security checks that show you exactly what websites can see about your device. We turn the hidden signals behind online tracking — fingerprints, IP and network data, VPN and bot detection — into clear, understandable results.
BrowserInsight is a collection of free online tools that analyze how identifiable and exposed your browser is. With one click you can check your browser fingerprint, IP address, VPN and proxy status, connection speed, automation (bot) signals, rendering engine, and installed extensions. Each tool surfaces the same data points that advertisers, fraud systems, and tracking scripts collect, so you can see your digital footprint the way the web sees it.
Most online tracking is invisible by design. Our mission is to make it visible. We believe people deserve to understand how they are identified online before they can make informed choices about their privacy. BrowserInsight serves everyday users who want to protect their privacy, as well as developers, researchers, and professionals who manage multiple accounts and need to verify that each browser profile is properly isolated.
Our checks run the same standard browser APIs that tracking scripts use, then explain what they reveal. Most analysis — fingerprinting, rendering-engine and extension detection, and automation signals — happens directly in your browser, while network checks such as IP geolocation and VPN reputation use trusted lookup services. We combine these signals into a clear picture of your uniqueness and exposure, along with practical guidance on how to reduce it.
A privacy tool must respect your privacy. We do not sell your data or use your results to build advertising profiles. Detection runs on demand and is not used to track you across the web. Where a check requires an external lookup, such as IP information, only the minimum necessary data is sent. For full details on what we collect and why, please read our Privacy Policy.
Privacy knowledge should not sit behind a paywall. All of our core detection tools are free to use, require no account, and work across modern browsers and devices. We also publish guides on our blog that explain the technology behind fingerprinting, VPN leaks, bot detection, and related topics in plain language.
BrowserInsight is built and maintained by an independent team focused on web privacy and browser security. We are committed to accuracy, transparency, and keeping our explanations grounded in how these technologies actually work. If you have questions, feedback, or corrections, we welcome them.
Every guide on BrowserInsight is researched against primary sources — browser vendor documentation, W3C and IETF specifications, and the observed behavior of the live web platform — and reviewed for technical accuracy by the BrowserInsight editorial team before publication. We cite authoritative references inline, avoid affiliate-driven claims, and revise articles as the underlying technology changes. Found something inaccurate? Email contact@browserinsight.net and we will correct it.
